SXSW RECAP
The band had a most excellent time in Austin, TX for SXSW and we are grateful for our time on stage. The official showcase and additional performances were a blast! Thank you to everyone who joined us!

What has been happening in Lynland of late? We completed another year of touring and enjoyed the holidays back in MN. We decided to keep our winter and spring 2012 touring closer to home and are taking classes at the University of Minnesota so, sooner or later, we will graduate. We will continue to perform and will be releasing some new recordings that we made in L.A. soon. Up next are shows in Minneapolis and Austin, TX for an official SXSW showcase.

We will return to one of our favorite hometown haunts, the Aster cafe, this Thursday! We will be joined by soulful singer/ songwriter Grace Weber and her band. This will be an exciting evening of music with new songs and specialty cocktails. Because we want you there... we are giving away tickets to the show!

Our show in L.A. was a blast and we are happy to report that we had a full room at the Hotel Cafe. Big thanks to all of you who were there! We also performed several acoustic shows in the offices of TV production and licensing companies and will report on what, if anything, comes of all that...Oh and the Mall of America show on Black Friday was nuts...and fun.

THE FACTS OF LYNHURST

We are excited that many of you are responding that you will join us this Thursday at the Hotel Cafe, Hollywood for our show from 9- 9:45 p.m. IT WILL BE A BIG SHOW AND WE WANT/ NEED/ LOVE to have you there. We will play some new songs including co-writes with L.A. artists Anna Nalick, Jonny Lang, Matthew Puckett & Beau Black. We may perform "Lovefool" by The Cardigans because...hey we are kids of the 90's and kinda sound like them. The band is newly configured as Mari leaves the drums and takes lead vocals from the front. We are joined by drummer "Steady Eddie" (who moved from Chicago to Minneapolis to join the band full-time). Tickets are $10 BUT everyone gets a copy of our new CD "One Of These Days" - we need to sell tickets...or we won't be invited back.

Other facts you've been asking for:
*We have been a band for 7 years and full-time touring after leaving college 3 years ago. We were not expelled.
*We really are siblings...Mari is 21 and the youngest not the oldest! Matt is 24 (not 18); Jake is 25 and looks it.

Lynhurst Returns to Los Angeles!

Most of you know that the band has spent extended periods of time writing songs and performing in the the City of Angels over the last couple years. We've made a lot of friends there and are especially grateful to the The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, where we have played many times and are returning on November 17 at 9 p.m.! Lynhurst Plays NYC!
From the Minne-apple to the Big Apple comes LYNHURST! The band plays Rockwood Music Hall in NYC on Tuesday, October 25 at 7 p.m. No cover and we will give our new EP "One Of These Days" to all. The hat will be passed. This is a big show for us, we don't play New York often and we really hope you will join us!

Back to L.A.
Heads-up L.A.! The band returns to Hollywood to perform the Hotel Cafe on November 17! We can't wait to see our L.A. friends again. Cover is $10 and an EP will be given with every admission. Pre-Sale tickets are available now! Please buy early and make plans!

Hello Friends of Lynhurst!
We are playing a number of exciting shows this week and would love to have you there! TOMORROW, Thursday September 29 we will be playing a new music venue in downtown Minneapolis called The Crooked Pint Ale House. They did a fantastic job putting this place together! It is wonderful to see new music venues coming up in the Twin Cities and The Crooked Pint is one of our favorites.

Milwaukee
This Saturday, Lynhurst will be a part of the very cool Yellow Phone Music Conference. This is in Milwaukee and is focused on developing artists. Lynhurst performs the wild Red Rock Saloon! Click here for the Yellow Phone website.

Chicago
This Tuesday, October 4 we will return to Chicago, the hometown of our drummer Steady Eddie! The performance will be at the Tonic Room with the very swanky Chicago based band Mos Scocious. East Coast
We will be heading out to the East Coast in late October, with a college date booked in Conneticut and a show at the Rockwood in NYC on October 25. Stay tuned for additional performances.

First and unfortunately, the Lynhurst/ Tim Mahoney show at the Maplewood Performing Arts Theater scheduled for tomorrow (September 16) has been canceled. To get ticket refunds, please contact the venue.

But second, Lynhurst returns to the Aster Cafe, one of our favorite venues in the Twin Cities for a special unplugged performance on Tuesday, September 20 at 9 p.m. Come see our stripped down show with acoustic guitars and a cajon in this intimate venue on the banks of the Mississippi river!

For those of you who saw the historic LYNHURST plays Lynnhurst Park show on August 10, you know we were lucky enough to have a perfect summer night - the kind you only get once a year here in Minneapolis. Lynhurst plays the Field

Most of you know how we got our band name LYNHURST and therefore also "got" the title of our first album "Field Day." Well, this is a reminder that tonight - Wednesday, August 10, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. - for the first time ever, come rain, shine, hell or high-water, the band LYNHURST plays on the field at LYNNHURST PARK in the area located at 50th Street and the Minnehaha Parkway, Southwest Minneapolis. This show is a lay-up because it is a free, outdoor, all-ages, full-on rock show somewhere near the basketball court. Walk, bike, or drive to our hood, park-it and see this historic city show.

August Update!

Life according to Lynhurst

Hello Hello... yes we attended the epic U2 show-shower in Minneapolis. The U2 boys played right through the rainstorm and we were so close to the stage that Bono tossed Matt a white rose. We take it as a good omen for Lynhurst. Our new drummer "Steady Eddie" has moved his life from Chicago to Minneapolis. He is growing his hair out to fit the band look!

On August 10th, 5:30- 8:30 p.m... it's finally happening...LYNHURST plays LYNNHURST!!! That's right, the City of Minneapolis has invited us to perform at the park after which we named our band. This is an all-age, free show, outdoors. It will be a serious neighborhood throw-down. We are filming and recording the show. We hear the mayor will be there too. This should be a classic slice of MinneAmerica.

On August 11, we head to the suburbs for another free all-ages outdoor show in a major mall center in Maple Grove, MN. We perform in the middle of the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes from 6- 8 p.m.

Hey friends, we are so excited to go on a Midwest mini-tour this weekend! We will hit up Minneapolis, Milwaukee's Summerfest, and Chicago. Catch us if you can!

Tomorrow (Saturday) night, Lynhurst plays the lovely Aster Cafe on the historic Saint Anthony Main in Minneapolis, MN. Oklahoma City singer-songwriter Shane Henry will open the show.

We are honored to perform at the World's Largest Music Festival, Summerfest, this Sunday night! We will open for Amos Lee at the Briggs & Stratton stage at 6 p.m.

This Monday night, July 11, the band returns to Chicago to play at the Elbo Room. We have an exciting, new live show with Mari lead singing from the front of the stage and our friend, Chicago native Ed Hermanek on drums!
